secured connection problem

Dear muks,

I was previously using Internet Explorer 7. That time it was used to ask that certificate security. It will ask "Do you want to proceed anyway? " . I will just give yes and proceed. No problem at all. Why you choose certificate and all these things.

Still particular in security means upgrade to Internet Explorer 8. By the time i joined these forums some 6 to 7 months back am using IE 8 only and found no problem at all.

Not sure if it was the same message/situation but...

I believe if I had a forum page open that had timed out AND I dleted all of my cookies, THEN tried to refresh the timed out screen, I would get that message. When I see this I close my browser window and start fresh. THat work as long as the NI web-site that serves the password stuff is up and functional.

Just my 2 cents,

Hi muks,

I don't know what happened.  The security certificate for https://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niup.ni should be valid and should be from Verisign, not Fortinet.  I'm not sure what you installed from Fortinet.

Were you able to click the proceed anyways link that was presented to you?

Thanks,

Laura
