stars not appearing

Hi All,

Lately (the last two posts I starred today) , when I have attempted to apply stars to an excellent answer, the star choice radio control goes away after I make my selection, but the stars do not seem to appear on the post!

Something odd going on here?

I see the same thing. After I rate a message, there are still no stars but I can no longer rate.

Hi Neil,

Since the Forum upgrade a week ago, the time it takes for the stars to appear is pretty long.  Your ratings are still being credited to that person, it will just be a few minutes before you see the visual confirmation.  I reported the problem to our vendor, and we hope to have a better ratings system in an upcoming release.

Yes, the speed of light is finite, thus it take time for a newly created star to appear to your eyes.

Today is just not a good day for me on the forum.

First my stars don't appear, then my first box rating mysteriously goes from 5* down to 4* for no reason I can fathom... a few posts ago I am pretty sure I was on proven status, now I have dropped to trusted    

I have looked back at all my recent posts, and there have not been any 1* ratings that I can see.

Any explanation?

I looked through 3 pages of listings of your posts to try to find where you got a low score.  I found this thread that had 2 ratings for 2 star average.  I don't know if these were recent ratings.  I don't know why the message would have been rated low anyway.  At worst it should have been no ratings.  I will give you a 5 on it to help boost it up.

Odd that it only changed yesterday. Oh well, its not something I am going to get upset about, I will just have to strive to get my 5* rating back
