Toro,

Are there any devices that may be causing electrical interference every 20 - 40 minutes? I have seen problems where a motor or AC unit that was nearby turning on would cause a large EM spike that would cause problems with readings.

What IO module are you using and what revision is it (revision can be told from product number where the product number will be 111111Y-01 where Y is the revision level. Also, is this FieldPoint or Compact FieldPoint and what type of controller are you using (also what revision level is the controller)?

Regards,
Aaron

I am using FP-AI-100  part # 18J152B-01 there is also another label with # 189487A-01. In my test stand I do have a servo motor amplifier and controller both of them are about a 2 foot from the FP-AI-100. I wire all my input signals to come in into the test box in the opposite side of the box, all my AC is to the rigth all DC is to the left.

I even added .1uf capacitors accros the DC voltage to prevent any AC signals from coming in. I alse have change the range that the input madule can test to.

This is the massage I get :

Error Message: All channels in item out of range. More than one of the input signals that you are measuring has gone out of the specified measurement range. Check your signals and, if necesary, change the range the module is using.: FP Read.vi [Error Code: 33587]

Toro,

What is the range that you are setting? What is providing the voltage that you are reading? Do you get this message if you short the signal? Do you get this message if you connect to a constant power supply? Have a great day!

My power supply is 5 VDC to witch I hook two 1K ohms potentiometers( actually is one inside the unit tested twice in to different processes). I read the position of the pot at 3 different position of a unit. I have a 220k ohms resistor from the wiper of the pot to ground when to make sure I get a 0 volt minimum reading. All the setting for the input channel are set to the maximum allow. What i mean I set the values to -36 to + 36 volts. I stil get this error.

But,

I have been able to make my program run without this error showing by not using the All stament in the Create Tag, instead I select the channel I want to read.
