Marco,
FieldPoint I/O modules (in general) support up to two error codes per channel. These codes generically are considered Channel Specific Error A or Channel Specific Error B. What these Errors mean for each module is documented in the FP-1000/1001 Programmers Reference Manual.
However, the FP-DO-401 is a module that does not support channel specific errors. The fact that you are getting a Channel Specific Error when writing to the module indicates that there is a problem in your system. I would check the following things:
1) The pins on the I/O module (remove the module from the terminal base and look at the bottom of the module, the pins should all be straight and parallel with each other, two pins should be longer than the rest, and one pin shou
ld be slightly shorter than the rest).
2) Check the pins between the network module and the terminal bases.
3) Make sure there is no metal short circuiting the bus connector on the last terminal base (also make sure to use the bus cover that is included with the FP-2000 on the last base).
4) Double check your power supply to make sure that it is providing between 12 and 30 VDC.
5) Try the FP-DO-401 in a different terminal base, that will tell us whether the problem is in the module or the base.

Aaron
