Can I access FP 2000 by DB 9 To RJ 45 Cable?

Now I have an FP 2000 and I would like to develope my project. I have question below....

Can I access FP 2000 by DB 9 To RJ 45  Cable?

I use RJ 45 head at FP2000 Ethernet port and DB 9 head at my PC (COM 1). Can I Access FP 2000 by This way ?

Hi,

Unfortunately, this sequence will not work. There are adapters available for this type of connection, but the serial port uses a different protocol than the ethernet port, so you would run into communication issues. I recommend using either an ethernet or crossover cable to use your FieldPoint 2000. I hope that you find this information helpful.
