The compact fieldpoint controllers all contain embedded controllers capable of running a Real Time OS and LV code, there is no exact equivalent to the FP-1000. The serial ports on these controllers are only accessible to embedded VIs running on the controller in LVRT. You can perform serial communication to other devices (possibly the SRM6000), however you will need to use Ethernet to configure the cFP modules.
