Change field point to compact daq

What are differences between field point and compact daq? I already have 4 year old systems programmed with field point modules and I am planing to change it to compact daq. I believe that compact daq is easier to work with and program in labview. Is there any significant differences in digital i/o, analog i/o and thermocouple modules of field point and comact daq? I use RS_485 communication from field point and I will have to change the entire code to use compact daq. Is there any easier way to do it?

Fieldpoint and Compact DAQ are unfortunately very different, both on a hardware and software level. It will require a code rewrite in order to convert your system from fieldpoint to cDAQ. Having said that, compact DAQ is a very nice platform and can out perform Fieldpoint on a simple I/O basis. I think that you should consider making the change if you are only using the FP for I/O, keeping in mind that there will be significant changes to your program. However, be confident that there are many cDAQ exmaples and tutorials that will help you get started and support you throughout the process of changing. Furthermore, all of us are here to help as well.

I am using Fieldpoint FP 1000, to monitor I/O channels values (voltages values) via RS 232 port to host computer.

Is it nessary i need to buy DAQ board further.

The pervious person before me who handled instrument was successfully run temperature measurement by labview 5.1, FieldPoint FP 1000, but now i received one error command as connection to acquisition board was not found"

The experienced people say that this command is due to absence of DAQ board.

I would kindly request you to help me to solve my probelm, since i am suffering for last 4 months to solve this probelm.

It looks like you already created a new thread on this issue, and this one is almost 6 years old now.
