Change variable voltage to variable amperage

I am using FP-1000 with the AI-111 module. I have a conductivity meter that outputs 1mV per digit at 8 amps. I have been told that I can switch the variable voltage into a variable amperage signal so the AI-111 can read it. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Hi Matt,

Are you referring to your conductivity meter being able to vary the current instead of the voltage? What type of conductivity meter do you have?

I am using a Cole Parmer 19300-10 conductivity meter. Yes, I need to switch from variable voltage to variable current. Also, I need to step the voltage down from 8 Amps to 4-20 milli-Amps. Thank you for your consideration.

This is the specs for the conductivity meter.

This is the field point module I am using.

Humm, I would try using a multimeter and playing with the controls on the conductivity meter (as long as the multimeter can tolerate the values). Otherwise, I would simply contact the manufacturer as they would have someone who could easily describe how to use the meter.

Anyway, sorry I couldn't be of more help.
