FP-1000 will not interact with FP-TC-120

The ready light on the FP-TC-120 is not lit when I attach to the FP-1000.  The power light is lit on the FP-TC-120 and the FP-1000 is recognized by the computer (when checking in MAX), but it will not recognize the FP-TC-120.  I've tried the FP-TC-120 module on another FP-1000 and it works fine, so I'm sure it is the FP-1000 that is not functioning correctly.  Is there any advice on how to fix this problem?

The OS is Windows 2000 and I have the current firmware update.

The first things to check would be to visually inspect the pins on the FP-1000 to make sure that none of them are bent.  If they all look good then try resetting the FP-1000 to it's factory default state from MAX (check the "factory configuration" box on the bank configuration page, hit apply and then reset the controller).

If neither of these help then you will probably want to contact NI Support to see if the unit needs to be returned for repair.
