FP-2000 field point explorer network

I use a fp2000 to publish data (but the problem is not that I guess). I have no problem to connect to it by ftp, http, to see it with the fieldpoint explorer as soon I am on the local network. But when I try to reach this fieldpoint using the fieldpoint explorer from outside the local network(from home or a customer PC) even if FTp and http work, the fieldpoint explorer fails. Do I have something special to do our network router or some special setting on fieldpoint explorer ? Thanks for your answer.

Grisel,

The ability to browse FieldPoint ethernet network modules is based off of UDP and is restricted to computers on the same subnet. You can not browse across subnets. However, as long as you know the IP address of the module, you can link to the module directly and still communicate with it. If you want to talk to the I/O modules and configure I/O, when you create the Comm Resource, type in the IP address and press Find Devices and it will list all the modules just as if you had first browsed to the module. If you want to reconfigure the network module, there is a menu option in Remote System Explorer that allows you to link to a specific module (type in IP address) rather than browsing the local subnet.
