FP-CTR-500 outputs are failed?..

Eduardo,

The outputs are electronically "fused" to shut down at more 1 amp, there are no physical fuses on the board. The F could be in reference to U7-U10 which are the output FET's (F8P6's). The component nearest the output FET's are diodes for flyback protection.

Aaron,
We think that U20 chip is wrong (Voltage regulator -5 V, 100 mA). We can't found the data sheet of MC79l05ABDR2 in the MOTOROLA web site. Could you send us that information? The same request for the MC74ACT125DR2 data sheet. We need to recover at least one of those 4 outputs in order of implement the frequency meter, and we think we would repaire that output using a standard voltage regulator of similar characteristic. Thank you and best regards.

Try ON Semiconductor (they bought Motorola's semi business). www.onsemi.com . Search for 79L00 on their website and you will find the 79L05ABD. Likewise you can search for the MC74ACT125DR2 on their site.

Thank you Aaron. We have found both data sheet in ON Semiconductor web site. Fortunately, we'll can replace those components in the CTR-500 module in a short time...we hope be the right one. Regards,
Eduardo
