FP-DO-403 outputs

Could I have a brief explanation on what Vout, Com and Vsupp means? I got a general idea that the LED's are to be connected to Vout and Com but how about Vsupp? Also Com has 2 ports, which do I use or do i pick one or both?

Another thing is that for input. There's an additional Iin(current input). What am I suppose to connect them to?

Thank you.

Hello OTY,

Actually, your LEDs will need to be connected from Vsupp to Vout.  The cFP-DO-403 is a sinking module which means it provides a path to ground at the output.  Please carefully read the "Wiring the [c]FP-DO-403" section in the Operating Instructions starting on page 3.  This document provides detailed descriptions of the terminals and wiring instructions.

Vout:  provides a path to ground when a value of 1 is written to that channel.

Vsupp:  is internally connected to the V terminal of your module.  This terminal provides voltage from your power supply.

Com:  is connected to the power supply's ground.  All Com terminals are internally connected.

"Another thing is that for input. There's an additional Iin(current input). What am I suppose to connect them to?"
What module are you referring to?  The DO-403 has no inputs.  Please refer to the Operating Instructions of this module for the wiring diagrams.

Regards,
Sean C.

Thanks...

Been a great help in clearing my doubts. Will ask further questions if I don't understand it.
