FP-QUAD-510 decoder only counts in one direction

I have the FP-Quad-150 connected to a position sensor with a quad output. The count increases just fine but the count increases in both forward and reverse. ??

Hello,

In order for the FP-Quad-510 to count up and down relative to forward and reverse motion, you must have both phase A and phase B of your encoder connected to the FP-Quad-510. The two signals are offset by 90 degrees which allows the module to determine the direction of the encoder.
