FP-TC-120 wrong temperatures

Hello,

This is Rúben Silva from Lar Bombas Portugal, I have a Field Point system y have a FP-1000, 1 FP-RTD-124, 1 FP-CTR-502, 1 FP-AP-111 and 2 FP-TC-120. They are installed in the order I have written.

But we are having a problem with the first FP-TC-120 that is strange because the second module (FP-TC-120) is functioning well. The symptoms are: CJ Temperatures are incorrect ( -49,47 ºC) and the channel with thermocouple T give the wrong Temperature (-262.60 ºC) and the status is changing from successfully  and Out of range. Some of de red leds are on but others are not. There is only one thermocouple connected, to channel 1 ( -262.60 ºC).

Can you Help me?

Thank you

Rúben Silva

Hi Rúben,

This sounds as if your first FP-TC-120 is broken. I would suggest you call your local NI branch. Or send in a support request from www.ni.com/ask. State this as an RMA, and a local representative should take you through some troubleshooting steps. If the module is really broken, you should get you an RMA number to return the module for repair. They will also give you details of any associated cost involved.

Hello,

If you change change the order of the two FP-TC-120, do you have the same problem ?
It's a good test to verify if your FP-TC-120 are broken. Smiley Wink
