FP2010: how can I overwrite / replace data stored on the FP bank?

I want to store data (.txt) on my FP bank, and I want to overwrite old data. For this I use the open/create/replace file VI from the I/O palette. I used different settings of the function input, but it didn't work out.

Can you explain more about what inputs you used? This VI will work great on a FP RT controller.

If you are using any RT controller other than the cFP-2020 use C: to refer to the internal flash memory. If you are using the cFP-2020 you can use either C: for the internal flash memory or 😧 for the external flash memory.

On the Open/Create/Replace VI at a minimum you need to specify the file path (path to the TXT file) and the function (create or replace). If you don't specify a file path then it will pop up a dialog box asking you to specify the file path. This will not work on the RT controller, so you must specify a file path (it will return an error code 43).
