Fieldpoint TC-120 Channel 0 Not Reading

I have a new cFP fieldpoint system with a cFP 2020 "brain" and three modules.  The TC-120 module and CB-3 are acting a bit odd.  If I hook a thermocoupe to Channel 0 (zero), I get an "open thermocouple" error in MAX when I read the channels.  It is acting as if nothing at all is connected.  If I move the thermocouple to Channel 1 (one), the thermocouple reads just fine from Channel 1 AND the same thermocouple reading from Chanel 1 shows up in Channel 0 on MAX.

Try moving the TC-120/CB-3 to a different slot on the backplane.  If the problem is still there then it is very likely problem is with the TC-120 or the CB-3.  Do you have another
TC-120 or CB-3 you can try substituting?   If not, you could call your local NI rep and see if they had one on a demo unit that you could borrow for a quick test.

OK centerbolt.  I did as you suggested, moving the TC-120 and its terminal block to the 4th spot on the cFP chassis.  The two channels read fine now.  I moved them back to the 3rd spot on the chassis and once again it appears that the zeroth and first channels are "welded" together.  Sounds like I need a new chassis.  Does this make sense?

I'm pretty sure it means you have a problem with the chassis.  Suggest you contact NI with your findings.
