Fp2000 ethernet configuration

We need to be able to use fieldpoint explorer to configure FP2000 with a FP bank from our office through the network to several location in private houses. Each Fp 2000 will be connected with a hub (especially one for each FP 2000). The first test we have done have sohwn that we can reach the FP2000 via FTP, we can switch execution target, we can ing the Fp2000 using the fieldpoint explorer and giving the IP or host adress. But we have not be able to "add comm resource". Once the fp2000 has been detected we select it the window proposing to find devices appears but with the IP adress of the FP which has been already given befre when it was used on our local network.
What is the problem? must we reset the FP2000 ? and reconfigure it ?
(In that case difficult for a plug and play installation all over the country!) Is there something we don't do or we do?

Grisel,

FieldPoint does not support DHCP (Dynamic IP Addressing) for the ethernet network modules (FP-1600/FP-2000/FP-2010). If you configure a module with an IP address, it retains that address until either you reset the address or assign it a new one. Simply moving it to a new location does not change the configuration of it's network settings. If you want to place the FP-2000 in a new location that has a differnet IP, you can program it in your office with the new IP and then send it out for installation or you can re-program it at the installation site.
