How to communicate over rs485 port?

Hi!

   I'm wandering about how to make my cFP2020 module communicate over serial RS485.
 
  A simple scheme for the first part of my application is shown in the attached file.  If I launch MAX, should I see the fp 301 and 401 modules as dependant of cFP 2020???

   Moreover, has someone examples regarding this app?  Thanks!!!

Hi Graziano,

That's a very interesting question.  I personally doubt MAX will be able to detect the 1001s via the cFP-2020. 

To communicate with the 1001s from your cFP, you can use the usual FieldPoint VIs.  But you will have to configure the 1001s first on MAX (assuming the above isn't possible), with say a 485 card in your PC.

Connecting cFP-20xx to a FP-100x

Hi,
   in the document you quote, there's an example, about finding com devices  (optomux-VISA), and in my case, I suppose this example should run EMBEDDED in cFP2020 module... I've tried to execute the vi from my pc and I get nothing (error status).
