Suresh,
There are several different reasons why you may be facing difficulties. First of all, the DIP switches on the FP-1000 and FP-1001 should be set so that the two modules have different addresses. As a side note, after changing the address/baud rate on FP-100X modules, you do need to power cycle the module to have the new settings take effect. A second reason that you may be having problems is that the RS-485 connection may be wired incorrectly. The Tx+ of the FP-1000, should be connected to Rx+ of the FP-1001, Tx- (FP-1000) to Rx- (FP-1001), Rx+ (FP-1000) to Tx+ (FP-1001), and Rx- (FP-1000) to Tx- (FP-1001). Additionally, depending upon cable length, you will probably need 120 Ohm terminating resistors wired (at both ends) between Rx+ and Rx- and a
second resistor between Tx+ and Tx-.
