I need 40GB memory in Fieldpoint datalogger application. Ideas?

I am thinking of using Fieldpoint to make a datalogger. I need about 40GB memory for data storage. The datalogger is not permanently connected to a network. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

For such big database, you will need to transfer the files to a hard drive in a computer (through FTP)
The new cFP-2020 has a slot for a removable flash card, but still, it will not store 40GB.
You could try using a PXI RT Controller...and if you need more harddrive storage you can use a SCSI controller with the controller and connect an extra hard drive to it.
Please refer to your NI Sales Rep for more details on PXI Devices.

Try to find CF memory card that has bigger and bigger size recently. But it seems not up to 40GB.

My related question is: does FieldPoint support all sizes of CF memory card?

I think that you can use any size Compact Flash in a cFP controller (definitely anything smaller than 512 MB).
-I'm currently emailing the PSE to check on this-

The real problem you'll run into is that you cannot get Compact Flash in sizes over about 4GB.
Amazon Flash > 4GB

You may want to try to implement a double-buffer-type system that looks for a network connection and then sends the data, then stores until a connection is present again. However, if you overflow, you'll lose data.

As vg said he could store that much information in a PXI controller (NI PXI-8187 RT). May be a bit of overkill, but it could store that much data.

I just found out that we have not done any testing on Compact Flash that is larger than 512 MB. Plus for a FieldPoint application you will most likely want to get an industrial grade compact flash intead of just any off-the-shelf compact flash.

It sounds like transfering the data or using a PXI system are going to be the best solutions.
