Hey Dimitri,
I am so sorry I wasn't clear, I meant a software reformat on your cFP 2120, not of your computer. Since the IP address is backwards regardless of which computer it is plugged into it means the error must be on the cFP, not on the host. A simple Reformat Disk in Measurement and Automation Explorer should hopefully cause something different to happen with the time server address. Sorry again I was not clear about the reformat.

It's ok Eric. Anyhow, I re-confirmed the bug with a brand new installation of software (LV RT 2011) + hardware (format cFP-2120).
Please, forward this to the dev. team of Real-Time LabView.
Regards,
Dimitri

Hey Dimitri,
I will work on trying to recreate the bug here from what you have told me try to go from there. Thanks for your input on this bug.

Hi Eric !
Any news about this NI-MAX bug ? Did you succeed in recreating it ?
Dimitri

Hey Dimitri,
I worked for a while trying to reproduce it but I was un able to come up with anything. Since you reformatted your FieldPoint controller it cannot be because of any software issues there, and since you've tried on multiple computers it means the issue cannot be because of any software issue on the computer. AS far as I can tell the only possible causes could be a hardware defect (which seems extremely unlikely) or some kind of strange issue with your network. Do you have other Fieldpoints to try this out with? Does it occur then? It seems this issue will not be possible for me to recreate. You may want to try seeing if you can read in the packets the FieldPoint is sending using a utility like Wireshark to see if you can spot the IP addeess coming or going and seeing when it becomes backwards.

I am having these issues also with the cFP-2120 on LV 2011 SP1, MAX V5.1, Fieldpoint driver 6.0.1, and NI-1588 Configuration 1.1.2.
First MAX showed the time server IP in an incorrect order. I fixed it last week from the MAX GUI under remote systems. Now the time is slightly off on each unit.
I have 3 cFP units on a local isolated network. Opening the NI-RT.ini file I found the IP for the time server was in an incorrect order but still showed correct in MAX.
Example: Say the correct order is 111.222.333.444, within the ini it was 111.333.222.444
I fixed it in the NI-RT.ini file, I will see if that makes a difference?

Hi Rob,
Once you manually update the "Time_Server =" line under "[SYSTEMSETTINGS]" in NI-RT.ini the new settings will take effect upon contoller restart.
You should then see correct time server IP under System Settings in MAX GUI. If it still appears in reverse order I would update MAX to 5.3 version and also update your NI- FieldPoint driver to 6.0.11
