Trouble with FP-1001 and PCI-1602B

Hi..
I have recently bought a FP-1001 module (RS-485) and also a card from Advantech, PCI-1602B (2-port RS-422/485).
The card was jumped to only use RS-485 and termination resistors at the card (TX and RX) were jumped to 120 ohm.
A cable was made to connect the module and the card. The cable is wiring according to the FP-1001 manual, i.e.
FP-1001 PCI-1602B
RX+ TX+ (pin 2)
RX- TX- (pin 1)
GND GND (pin 5)
TX- RX- (pin 4)
TX+ RX+ (pin 3)
On the FP-1001 module there is a 120 ohm resistor between RX+ and RX-. The same is for TX+ and TX-.

When I am using The Fieldpoint explorer 2.0 and am setting up everything (add, choose com port, Find Devices!), the following happens:

The Network led is flashing and when the Fieldpoint program is searching around the FP-1001 module address, the Access led is flashing twice.
But the problem is that the program doesnt find any module.
I have the same baud rate for the card, module and Fieldpoint program.

Do any of you have the same experience?

Hello Magnus!

I cannot really answer your question since I have no experience whatsoever regarding the board from Advantech. However I have found a couple of links that might be useful.

These documents cover termination, general troubleshooting and using third party devices on a RS-485 network.
