Two LV apps on seperate PC accessing One FP bank but different I/O points?

I get asked this question every 6 months or so, I answer and then they ask "Are you sure?"

So,

Can I use a single FP bank (ethernet flavors) to allow two different LV apps running on seperate PC to serve unique data points to each at the same time.

The I/O points used by each of the applications will only be used by that app and that app alone.

Short version:
(2) PC's
(1) FP bank
same time
no shared I/O points

Aaron: Please forgive me if I have asked this before! It is just not practical for me to go back through my 2000+ replies. It just seems like a question I have already asked.

Ben,

By default, FieldPoint Ethernet controllers (FP-160X, FP-20XX, cFP-20XX) will allow any number of clients (PCs or [c]FP-20XX controllers) which can read from or write to any of the data points on the FieldPoint bank. Currently, the only ability to restrict the access is on a per computer (IP address of Qualified Domain Name) basis. Thus if you have two computers that are both in the allowed read/write access list, they can both access ALL of the IO points on the modules, no exclusivity is required or enforced. The problem to avoid is that potentially each computer can overwrite the other on the output channels.
