Pete,
There are no heat sensors in any of our modules or controllers that will trip them to turn off. Most likely, you may just have an aging module. Be sure to keep an eye on your operation in case you need to cycle the power again. If this is a critical module and you need to minimize downtime, this may be a sign to order another module now. If downtime is not a big issue, then hold on until this starts happening more regularly, and when it becomes a problem, you can send the module in for repair.
You may see this happen again within the week, or you may not see this happen for another year. Please keep that in mind as you consider the need for replacements or repairs.

Cole,
Thanks........ this module is used in a critical function, has been in service about 2 years I did note on terminal board (FP-TB-1) the FP-AI-112 plugs into a component marked RT1. What function does that component serve?

Pete,
What device is this RT1 connected to?

Hi Cole,
The FP-TB-1 has a printed circuit board inside. Looking at the printed circuit board orientated with screw terminals on the bottom, the RT1 component is mounted on the PCB just to the right of the screw terminals.

Pete,
I'm sorry I read your previous post wrong the first time. RT1 is a thermistor and is used when CJC is needed for measurements.

Thanks Cole, I greatly appreciate the assistance.
Sincerely,
