Verify outlook timeserver is working

I am noticing the timestamps logged for my field point units can be up to a minute off.  This has never happened before we installed a new PC.  My thought is it is not able to sync to the time server running on the PC.  Is there a way to verify the time server is running and has not been blocked by Windows Firewall or some such thing? I have checked and the service is running on the PC.  Is there a way of reading the current time from the fieldpoint unit to verify what time it has?

I'm reading from a FP-DI-300 connected to a FP-1601.

Hi Bob,
I found this article that discusses Windows firewall settings and the time server.  As for reading the time off of a FieldPoint, I will have to look into that to find an answer.  It sounds like Windows on your new computer might be blocking some information to your FieldPoint.

Hi Bob,
I though I would let you know that you can use the Get Date/Time function on your timing palette to get the time from your FieldPoint.  Make sure your VI is running embedded on your target, otherwise it will retrieve the time from the host.  Post again if there is anything else we can help you with.
