I am using a CFP-2020 to capture real-time data from a serial port compliance device. It is neither connected to a network nor to a host computer. The module and the sensors attached to it are stand-alone. Therefore a stand alone electronic display unit needs to be connected to it. Perhaps you can recommend a special hardware to display the acquired data?
QSI Corporation (http://www.qsicorp.com/) has a number of serial or ethernet controlled terminals that can be interfaced to [c]FP-2XXX series RT controllers. I have personally used both the J-10 and G-70 with FP/cFP units. They also have a J-10 variant, the J-237 specifically for NI RT controllers.
