What is the ethernet port range for a FP1601 device?

Hello,

I am trying to add a wireless bridge to a corporate network.  When using a hardwired ethernet configuration... I can ping the fieldpoint device, when using the wireless bridge I cannot.
So as I see it I may have 2 problems;
1) Bridge is not working or incorrectly setup
2) Corporate firewall is intefering

Making the assumption that the bridge is working and properly setup ...

What port range would need to be allowed so that I can tell the network admin to ensure open ports?
(I couldnt find any info on ports in the MAX documentation, the discussion groups, nor the fieldpoint documentation)

Thank you for your time

Hi Jqm,

The ethernet port on the FP-1601 is a standard ethernet port. It will work with any port range that Windows allows.

I believe that something is wrong with your wireless bridge, especially since you can communicate with your FieldPoint device using a hardwired ethernet configuration. Nothing is really going to change with the FieldPoint system when using the wireless bridge, so I think that you need to check this particular component of your system.

Hal L.

Hi All-

FieldPoint ethernet communication uses the NI Logos protocol and requires the port settings outlined in this KB.

Hopefully this helps-
