I have had something similar working for some time but with the .iak file on a local drive not on network drive. As I stated before I had problems with I tried the network drive. I believe that was because I tried to use the "mapped" name of the drive and not the literal name.
Not sure what process you used to shift location of .iak file. Here is what I did. I started by creating a new FieldPoint Configuration with a name of my choosing that pointed directly to my .iak file. (see attached image) I made sure that the .iak file already had the exact path it would have for the installed executable. This is the window that pops up when you "browse" a FP I/O point.
