Tq for your promtp reply. But i think there is nothing wrong with the software installation. It working well before this. Last day after i reset the ip address and put the same ip again then the ready LED CFP I/O module turn to ON and function as normally until now. I just need to know the technical reason why this problem occured. Maybe you have receive the same problem like this before. I am worried if it will happen again and so i can give the same reason as yours to my client. Actually i used this NI to intergrated with our system. Just to grab the input output data only. TQ

Good morning ikramic,
The "ready" light on the modules will not light if the controller enters a bad state or boots improperly. To change the IP address you most likely had to reboot the controller, which is probably what solved the problem. If it occurs again just try resetting the controller.

what cause the controller boots improperly?is it because of the surround enviroment? or the controller itself have a bug in the operating system?

Hi ikramic,
I could be either, but it most likely was a surrounding condition. If you can reproduce a crash we can isolate the problem and fix it. However, user programs, bad power supplies and any other number of problems could make the controller enter a bad state.

Actually i've tried to shut off and on the CFP power so many times but the problem not occur.
one question, if i use the reset button (not dip switch) does the IP will be deleted also?

Good morning Ikramic,
No, using the reset button won't reset the IP address unless the "ip reset' button is turned on.

Is it the function is same between shut off / on the CFP instead of using the reset button?

Hi Ikramic,
Functionally they should be same, were you having problems?
11-18-2011 05:10 PM
yes, because i've tried this step also at the begining when the problem happend. But the ready ligh still not light.
Technically it suppose to be light because the on / off the CFP is likely had to reboot the controller as you told.

Hi Ikramic,
If you continue to have problems you might want to check your power supply also.
