fp2000 router field point explorer

Hello every one,
I still have my famous router at the end of an ADSL link, after this router a fp2000 and some fp modules.
I am in an another town and I want to access them like if they would be in the office on the local netwrok.

1) is it really possible ?
for the moment the only thing I can do is to see them using fieldpoint explorer, rt engine. But no way to see the modules and change parmeters on them (like analog input scale, etc...)

2) if it works with one fp2000 and some modules, what happen if I have lugged two fp2000 after the router instead of 1?

Thanks.

Yes it is possible. The ADSL link merely extends your LAN, so it is just like connecting to a FieldPoint 2000 on your LAN. You say that you can see it in FieldPoint Explorer. FieldPoint Explorer is the configuration utility for FieldPoint. If you see the FieldPoint 2000 in FieldPoint Explorer, then you are able to see the other modules and configure them. You may want to check out this page that walks you through the configuration of a FiledPoint ethernet module:

http://www.ni.com/support/fieldpoint/fpenet.htm

There would not be any problem setting up 2 FieldPoint 2000s on the other end of the ADSL link.

Sorry but this is not that simple. In fact it depends on the parameter of your router.
First : remove all the filters.
Second : if it is in a NAT mode it will not work because FP Explorer uses a protocole that is not NAT Compatible.to see the FP module you should first remove the NAT Mode.
Without NAT it will be impossible to read more than one FP 2000 behind a router with FP Explorer.
