max cannot find FP-2000 module

Hi all, I'm writing an app for an existing system that contains an FP-2000.  I reset the IP address but MAX cannot find it.

I'm trying to set the system up as follows:
PC: IP=192.168.110.2
FP-2000=192.168.110.1
Subnet=255.255.255.0
Gateway=192.168.110.1

I'm using a crossover cable between PC and FP.

any ideas why the module is not found?

Set the FP-2000 to be some other number rather than .1  It seems like that would conflict with the gateway address.

Thank you but this issue has been solved.

Solution:
Bug in my version of MAX...  Knowledgebase doc ID# 47IC8SCW..."Why is My Target Not Listed in MAX 4.2 When in Safe Mode or Unconfigured?"
There was a link to an updater file that, when installed, fixed the problem.
