Hi Sunil,
The 5105 does not support RIS mode.(Features Supported by SMC-Based Devices)
Since the 5105 can sample at 60MS/s, this means our Nyquist rate allows us to acquire signals 0-30Mhz without seeing aliasing. The 60Mhz bandwidth allows for us to acquire signals in between 30Mhz and 60Mhz without seeing attenuation . These signals will be aliased, however, we can calculate what rate the acquired signal can be found by looking at this DevZone document -- EX: 100MS/s rate w/ 70Mhz signal --> is aliased to be seen at ( (100*1) – 70 ) = 30Mhz. If you have a signal over 60Mhz, it will be both attenuated and aliased. As long as you don’t have other signals around the frequency which your signal will be aliased, this may provide a solution using equipment you have, and prevent forcing you to buy new equipment. Depending on the equipment you have and the project as a whole, this may or may not be the best solution to the problem.
Hope this helps!
