Executable cannot find niscope

In LabView 8.0.1 I can distribute apps that do not access hardware, but if I include VIs to control the digitizer (niscope) it fails on the target machine with Error 3 cant open front panel. Packaging VIs in a support directory makes no difference. VIs are present on target machine and I have no problems with exes on LV 6.1

Hi testlabrlp,

Error 3 generally means that you have tried to open up one of your subvis' front panels without setting the subvi to allow for this.  If you look at the following link it should give you some information regarding the problem as well as the solution.
