NIDEVLDU services

I can start NIDEVLDU services on one machine with Windows server 2003 is faling with error code -1.

In this machine was working fine until I uninstal and instal DAQmx 7.4 and NI scope 2.7.

I have 2 NI cards instaled: NI PCI-5112 and PCI-6024E.

On the device manager the drivers are instaled and the 2 device are working, only isue is NI Measurement and Automation.

Hi Mihaip,

What is failing with error code -1?  What is the issue with Measurement and Automation Explorer?  Do you receive the error when you start NIDEVLDU?  What exactly is the issue you are seeing?

NI-DAQmx 7.4 is very old, and was one of the first to come out, is there a reason you are using that version or would you be willing to upgrade to a newer version?   If you are using Windows Server 2003, this driver will not work, and we do not have any SCOPE drivers with Server 2003 support.  Are you using a different operating system?

What is failing with error code -1?       I get this error when I start manually NIDEVLDU service.

Do you receive the error when you start NIDEVLDU?    yes when I started manually  (under the service, I highlight NIDEVLDU and pres start)

What is the issue with Measurement and Automation Explorer?   If the NIDEVLDU is not running the NI devices are not listed on the application, (but are listed on the device manager, control panel)

I was able to install the drivers for both cards, and under the windows are OK only with Measurement and Automation are not working.

This device were working on this machine until I uninstall/install DAQmx 7.4 and scope 2.3.

Hi Mike,

These drivers do not have support for Windows Server 2003, so it will be difficult to troubleshoot what could have gone wrong between installations.  DAQmx version 9.1 has support for Windows Server 2003, and there are no Scope drivers with support for that OS.  The most I can recommend is trying another uninstall/reinstall, but there is not a supported work around for this combination of drivers and OS.
