We have a PC with an older MXI-3 card installed that works fine. Recently we installed a PCI-8336 MXI-4 card in the system alongside the MXI-3. During the driver install for the 8336 "PCI to PCI Bridge" driver, the system repeatedly freezes up forcing a restart of the PC. Are these cards incompatible together in the system? Other than that one glitch, everything is working fine and System shows no drivers needed for anything. At the very least I would like to have the PC stop trying to install the driver every time WinXP starts.

Hi Microwaver,
Interesting - It sounds like your MXI-4 card never fully installed (hence Windows attempting to install a driver for the card every reboot and the installer not finishing successfully). I assume if you try to access the cards in your chassis that you are not able to communicate to them. In general, you should not have issues with having both MXI-4 and MXI-3 in a PC.
One thing to double-check is that you have upgraded your version of NI-VISA before inserting the MXI-4 card and that . You can find the installer here: https://www.ni.com/en/support/downloads/drivers/download.ni-visa.html
Also, try pulling the MXI-3 card and see if that helps anything.
