Tektronix TekScope IVI COM Driver Ver 2.2 crashes labview 6.0

I am trying to use LabView 6.0 to acquire a waveform from a Tektronix DSA 70804 scope.  I have installed the IVI COM driver from http://www2.tek.com/cmswpt/swdetails.lotr?ct=SW&cs=sdr&ci=5226&lc=EN, and can initialize and close the connection to the scope from labview, but when I try to acquire a waveform using the fetchwaveform method, labview crashes, without giving any error messages.  I am running Windows Vista and NI-VISA 2.2, and am connecting to the scope through an Agilent GPIB/USB converter and version 15.1 of the Agilent I/O Suite.  The converter works fine for my other instruments, so I do not think that is the problem.

I have attached a screenshot of the vi I am using to acquire the waveform.

For one, you have posted to the wrong board. This board is for NI Digitizers (hence the 'Additional NI Porduct Boards),  second, you are using a very old version of NI-VISA and one that is not even close to being compatible with Vista. I did't even think you could get 2.2 anymore, and third, have you performed all of the steps necessary to make LabVIEW and MAX work with a third-party GPIB controller?

I have performed the steps necessary to make Labview and Max work with a third-party GPIB controller, and have successfully used Labview 6 with NI-VISA 2.2 on my Vista computer to control a power meter through the same Agilent USB/GPIB adapter.  I can even send some commands successfully to the Tektronix scope - it is only when I try to acquire a waveform that it crashes.

My recomendations are to first, update to a version of NI-VISA that is actually supported on Vista and second, update to a version of LabVIEW that is actually support on Vista. If you can't do either, don't use Vista. Use an operating system that is supported with your obsolete versions. Nothing of what you are doing is supported and you should consider yourself on your own.
