Test Tab for waveform graph and pass button

Wang,

If you look at the sample that you posted the first time, you are using a property node to set the value of the tab. You are not controlling the tab control through the property node per say. Now how can you display a waveform from the NI 5112 without input paramters, this can not be done. To be able to acquire a  signal from a DAQ card, you need to set the parameters. Try to set those in the block diagram. Also you can hide your controls that show up in the front panel by going to the corresponding terminal in the block diagram and right click on it --> Hide control.

Dear Ayman:

Thanks for your replying. Yes. I am not using a property node to control the tab. I am using a property node to set the value of the tab to display the approriate tab when conditions are met. Attached is my sample that I got from the previous mail. Are you talking the thingsI attached to you this time. If so, I would like to tell you that I would like to do a key board control to move tab. In this case, does it mean I don't need to use property tab? What I need is to use keyboard netviagator. If so, how do I use a tab key to move one tab by another. Can I use a tab key to move actucally? NI5112 is preinstalled a sample called "niScope EX Getting Started.vi" . Do you think this sample can set a parameter to acquire data? Is there any better idea? May I ask for your help? I know you are a very helpful and expereinced person.I could not really find a way to solve this problem. That is why I need to ask you.  I am very sorry to bother you a lot. I promise I will take care of the small problem. Thank you.

Wang,

About the Key Navigation, you had already asked this question in the following Thread . To answer your question posed in that post, you Right Click on your control in the front panel and you select Advanced -> Key Navigation and then you could select the keyboard shortcut assigned to that control.

As for the Scope example, you can surely use the getting started example, however this example uses the auto setup VI which takes couple of measurements to adjust the scope for best settings.  Depending on what you want to do, you can select the Multi Record VI or the Fetch VI.

Good Luck

Dear Ayman:

I tried to use  "dvanced>>key navigation" to assign a tab key to move one tab to another in my attached file. But it did not work.

The setting "set tabbing order under edit" was grayed. How am I suppose to use a tab key to move one tab to another.

Also, in your last mail, you said that you can hide your controls that show up in the front panel by going to the corresponding terminal in the block diagram and right click on it --> Hide control. Do you mean using the file of "niScope EX Multi Record.vi", you can hide some of the adjusting setting on the right. I want to be sure what you means. Would you pls answer to me directly? Thanks!

Hi Ayman:

By the way, I forgot to say about testing beep in LabVIEW. My device under test has a beeper once the motor is shaky.

How do test this beep sound in Labview? The hardest thing is the beep sound coming from the device under test. The beeper

will go make a sound. How can think of this sound and test it in Labview. What is that beep vi for? Can it help in this case?

I tried the sample called buttons that you gave me. I used the headphone to listen the beep sound. It did not work. I could not

figure it out by using your example. Could you explain to me this problem? Thanks

Hi Ayman:

I am very sorry to write you back. Because my company urges me to finish the project, I could not wait. I apologies for that. Right now, it is not easy to get a job, I hope you can help me out.

I have attached the sample this time to show the light on. I would like to ask if I can apply this sample to the niScope EX Multi Record.vi.

Before I do, I want to have a plan. If you think it did not work out. I could think of some other way. That way I don't have to waste so much time.

I have also made the sample of the unhide control. Did you mean this? I think it will be much easier to answer to me that way if I showyou the sample. Since this page only attached one sample, I am going to attach anther one in the next.

Wang,

I understand that you are in a hurry to get this resolved, but I can not help you with any LabVIEW issues because I support Modular Instruments only. If you have any LabVIEW issues (i.e Creating Tab control, charts , graphs etc) that you need help with, you could post them in the LabVIEW forum. When you group all your questions in one forum, you will end up getting very little help.

As for the Scope issue, I can definitely assist. When you get a timeout error, you are either not configuring your device correctly or not acquiring data at all. Make sure the card is installed properly and passes the self test in MAX. Also, make sure you are trying to address the correct device (DAQ:: device number).. Try to use the softfront panel to see if the scope is functioning properly.
