I cant seem to find information on NI-PAL anywhere. No downloads, no information page, nothing.
I have been tasked with getting an acquisition computer working which does not have a documented configuration. This system was working last week but the o/s was reloaded. The person who originally set it up no longer works for the company nor can he remember the exact component we are missing.
We are using a MXI 4 (used to be a 3) with several PXI-5112 cards. The cards seem to be installed fine. We are using Nidaq 6.9.3 and Niscope 2.1.4. I installed PXI Platform services that came with the MXI4 as well as IVI 3.2.
Our software is having a problem with the digitizer cards. MAX reports they are working properly and they appear working on the test panel but our software returns the Niscope error code for "Maximum time exceeded before operation completed". This software was working last week on the same NI setup.
Before the system crash however I took a dump of MAX's System Information window. I have matched it with this new setup except for the version of NI-PAL. The version that was on the previously working setup was 2.30. The version I have installed is 1..5.6f0. I dont know which package it came with, nor can I find an updated installer.
Can someone offer any advice as to what I may be missing or where to download NI-PAL? I have attached the MAX System Information screen cap. Thanks

Hello Mark,
Thank you for using NI forums. NI-PAL is an underlying driver and is not something that can be downloaded directly. You can think of it as the translator from your driver (DAQ or Scope) to your computer. One way to upgrade it would be to upgrade your DAQ and Scope drivers, which is what I was going to recommend anyways. Here is the link to the driver download page. Search for Scope or DAQ in order to find an updated driver of the one you already have. Be sure to take a look at the readme though to make sure that it is compatible with your device. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Regards,
