I am using PCI-5922 and I need to lock internal sample clock with internal reference clock in PCI-5922.
As far as I know PCI-5922 internal sample clock has two modes of operation, free run mode and PLL mode. In free run mode, internal sample clock is generated from internal 120 MHz oscillator independent of reference clock. In PLL mode the sample clock is generated from a PLL inside and the PLL is locked to the reference clock. When I operate PCI-5922, I always observed that those two clocks are not in sync.
Is there any way to phase lock both clocks? Is it only possible when I apply external reference clock?
