Has anyone tried to connect to the Industrial Shields PLC with RPI-4B

I am looking for an industrial rated PLC that can be programmed headless in LV.  The Industrial Shields company makes such devices in a true industrial form factor.

Surprisingly I see no mention of anyone attempting to target these devices in LV using the LINX driver although it certainly looks possible.

Another option might be to look into Kunbus with their Revolution Pi hardware: https://www.kunbus.com/en/

Reasons why this sort of options might not be made very public:

- The Linx Toolkit is nowadays named Hobbyist Toolkit. And without wanting to bash it, it works accordingly. Installation is not trivial, and outright cumbersome on modern 64-bit Raspberry Pi OSes.

- The developer experience is kind of limited

- It's not headless as a feature but the only way to operate it

- The Hobbyist Toolkit as part of the Community Edition is in most cases not a good fit. It's hard to argue that you are using this kind of hardware for non-commercial applications and while the Hobbyist Toolkit can also be used with a professional LabVIEW license, it's user experience is anything but easy and it even if you get it to work one day, it may suddenly stop working after even minor software updates to the NI ecosystem.

- NI definitely won't promote it, it's direct competition to their own hardware. And that's likely also one of the reason the Hobbyist Toolkit gets very little attention from NI to update it to new standards and applications.
