Location:  National Instruments

Time:  11:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m.

Meeting Summary:

TLB – Top Level Baseline

Mark Ramsdale from Ramsdale Software gave an overview of this design pattern template.  This design pattern is a queue-driven state machine with an event structure as a producer loop.  This design template is available via LAVA.org.  This presentation was a continuation of our exploring design patterns.

Technology Highlights from NI-Week 2012

Travis Ferguson from National Instruments gave an overview of some of the new features of LabVIEW 2012, as well as highlighting some of the latest hardware technologies released at NI-Week.

Next Meeting Topics:

The next Austin User Group Meeting is current scheduled for Wednesday, November 28th, 2012.  The currently proposed topics include:

  • Deep Dive into the Queued Message Handler Template – Charles Chickering will provide an in-depth look at this template
  • Tips and Tricks to Speed LabVIEW Development – requesting Darren Nattinger for this presentation.

These topics may change, based on presenter’s availability.

As always, if you have an idea/concept that you think the group would enjoy, submit those ideas in the discussion thread as well.  It only needs to be 20-30 minutes, and we’re a friendly group.

Thanks to everyone who could make it, and we’re looking forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

Travis
