bandwidth at different decimation factors

Hi,

I'm looking for some informations about bandwith at different 5640r decimation factors.
I've found in another post a reply by Jerry_L referring to a decimation factor of 128 (about 781KHz IQ rate) and a bandwidth of about 781 KHz x 0.8 = 625 KHz.
He also writes that "the 0.8 factor depends on filters, etc, but 0.8 is pretty close".
It's reasonable to assume this factor (0.8) valid for all decimation factors, in particular 100, 128, 256 and 512?

Thanks in advance for your help

Best regards

Carlo

Hi Carlo

0.8 works for most of the rates. The decimation by 100 actually has a bandwidth of about 200 kHz. It was designed for FM and that´s the reason for that bandwidth.

Hi Jerry,

thanks for the informations. The information about the 100 decimation bandwith is very interesting because we're trying to acquire FM signals at different decimation factors.

But our problem, at this moment, is that our ni5640r doesn't work correctly, as you can read in the post "ADC Microport Address Write Error".

Best regards,

Carlo, Maurizio and Giuseppe
