Hi Valli

The zip files that you attached do not look correct.  Files are missing, plus the project directory is not named correctly either.

The CD you installing the ni5640r software from, is it a beta version or the released version?

You do not need LabVIEW 8.2 to see the .lvlib file.  It just has to be installed to see it.  It is not being installed by the ni5640r installation cd you have.

Either way, please uninstall the version of ni5640r currently on the computer.  (This is also a good time to update NI-RIO as well.  If you can, uninstall NI-RIO.)

Check and ensure that the LabVIEW/examples/FPGA/ni5640r directory has been removed.  If it is still there, delete the ni5640r directory.

Download the released version of the ni5640r software.  There is a link in this post:
http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=ifrio&message.id=55

(There is also a link to the latest version of NI-RIO.  Install NI-RIO 2.1 before reinstalling the ni5640r software.)

After you have reinstalled the ni5640r software, using Microsoft Windows Explorer, go and look at the ni5640r Template example directory. (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\examples\FPGA\NI-5640R\ni5640R Template)  The directory should look identical to the image5.jpg I posted in the #17 reply.  If not, please send me an image of what the window looks like.  (A suggestion, do not maximize the window, only make the window large enough to show all the files.  This way the file size is many times smaller.)

On another note, I see that you have posted a few more questions.  (Including one under another login name.)  Until we get this issue fixed, the other issues, to a certain extent, should be expected.  Although, I can tell you that trying to run the small VI that you are running, it is not going to work, and you are not going to get an output from the NI PCI-5640R.  To use the NI PCI-5640R correctly, you need a LabVIEW Project, a Host VI and the FPGA VI that are in the examples I am trying to get installed correctly on your computer.
