34401A sample rate problem

Hi,

I want to set the 34401A to high sample rate, but failed. I set sample count  to 5000, but the result always have 10 samples. And the Sample interval, it seems do not work.

The 34401A doesn't support does not support Sample Interval or Pretrigger Samples.

Ray is correct. If you open up the Configure Multipoint VI then you will see that this is noted on the block diagram:

If you look up the manual for the 34401A you will also find this documented there.

Hi Lars.

When a function is not supported it should generate an error when trying to set it.

As this is a NI suppported driver, please modify the driver so that users notice this.

A warning is not sufficient. If somebody wants to ignore it Ok, but no hiding of errors please.

Hey Albert,

You are correct. There should be a notification of some kind to alert the user that these functions are not supported for this particular model. I'm filing a bug report to get this implemented.
