8430 RESOURCES I/O RANGE MISSING

I am using low level comport commands.  I need the base address of the port to send data.  I recently upgraded to an pxi-8430 and cannot find the i/o range under ni-serial peripherals.  The i/o range is missing from the resource list.  I can see com1 (pc) and com 5-6 (8421 485 card) i/o range but not the 8430.  Any suggestions?

Due to the enhanced features of the 843x series serial interfaces, it is insufficient to talk directly to the UARTs. Without additional configuration, no data will actually be transferred.

What problem are you trying to solve, that requires directly programming of the serial ports, and what programming environment and operating system are you doing it on?

I am using low level driver commands to pull the line high/low and to switch baud rates in the middle of a transmission.
