After 6hrs of RS232 flow the system stops (err37,38,995, event 1001 from NAVAP)

I have a .exe application that mainly communicates via RS232 to an electronic board.
After some hours the system stop working and shows mw in sequence: error37, error995, then it appears the warning for unsafe removal for all the ports, then error 38.
I found also a log file with a warning: eventID 1001 from NAVAP (anti-virus). I don't know if it's can be the cause or it's jus't a consequence.

Hi Mao,

What programming enviroment are you using? or what language was used to create the application?.

Are you using a built-in COM port or a NI interface?. If you are suing a NI interface, Which one? and what version of NI-Serial are you using?.

I used LabView6.1, the communication is performed using the serial devices (not the VISA ones).
Then I built an *.exe application.
I'm using a built in COM port.

Hi Matteo,

Check this knowledge base: Why Do I Get Error 37 When Using Serial Compatibility VIs or Error -1073807246 Using VISA VIs?. It has some good suggestions on what could be happening.
