Agilent USB device not appearing in Max but does appear in NI-VISA driver wizard

Hello

I am attempting to run an Agilent 33220A Function Generator via USB from Labview.

Having installed everything including NI drivers,  it appears in device manager in USB, the Agilent communicates to it fine from its own software for drawing waveforms. If I enter the NI-VISA Driver Wizard it appears there and confirms that this device is a member of USBTMC.

If I enter Max or VISA Interactive Control, it does not apprear there.

Am I missing something or is there a known issue? I have seen some other posts that looked similar but never conclude.

Thanks

Alex

Is NI-VISA set as primary? Did you try enabling tulip support?

If you want to use USBTMC with LabVIEW, nornally you dont have to install Agilent IO Libraries (Agilent VISA) as long as NI-VISA is installed. Multi-installing NI and Agilent VISAs has a conflict issue regarding which of VISA32.DLL is primary. I recommend to uninstall Agilent VISA if you have no special reason to use it.
