Hi,
I use a few of NI's GPIB products on many PC systems
I really dislike the fact that the downloads are huge and they install lots of needless services for all kinds of hardware that I don't have / never want (NI Motion Device Manager, Citadel, NI Domain Server, NI TestStand Service etc etc etc)
It's a huge hassle for me to disable these when installing on various hetrogenous systems.
Please repect your customers and stop the bloatware.

PS I know there are some NI documents that list the services, but it would be even better if there was a simple install-time option with defaults and checkboxes.
If all I need is a GPIB-USB-HS driver to run against PyVISA code, then a 700MB download, 7 utilties and 10 Windows services is an overkill...

Hey, you can submit feedback on ni products here: https://survey.ni.com/cgi-bin/qwebcorporate.dll?idx=VPQGWG&lg=English
or contact your local NI office.
Best,
Jelmer

Thanks - although I don't think that there will be any change.
Do you know if the GBIP-ENET/100 requires drivers to be installed for basic VISA operation?

Quite agree. Tried the link, it doesn't work for me. Driver for GPIB-USB-HS is ludicrous.
