I am tasked with communicating via RS-232 serial with a remote single GPIB device. We do not use Labview but our own industrial control system.
Is it possible to use the NI GPIB-RS232 device for read/write control of this GPIB device if I use C mode? I'm unable to find a manual for this device so it is difficult to determine if this will function properly for me. If it will work, how do I configure the GPIB-RS232 for C-mode since it appears Labview is often mentioned as the means to set this up? I wish the older GPIB-232CV-A were still available since it appears this device was totally hardware configurable.
Thanks.
