Can I make labview program to acquire more signal from oscilloscope?

I have a TDS 3654C oscilloscope, the maximum record length is only 10k points. My signal is much longer than than 10k points. Can I make a labview program to acquire, say, 20k points using this oscilloscope?  I need the highest time resolution for the signal which is 0.2 ns. I am thinking of using the acqurization.vi in its instrument driver library. I will set the time to acquire signal as 0 Microsecond first and acquire the first 10k points signal, then I change the time to acquire signal to 2 microsecond and get the rest of the signal (another 20k points). Will this method work? will this method cause loss of time?

thanks

I believe most of the answer to this question lies in the functionality of your device. If you can accomplish this by sending commands to the device through VISA, GPID, or IVI drivers then you can do it in Labview.  The device would need to be able to stream the data somehow, or be able to read from and write to the record as the same time. I don't know anything about your device, but you would need to look at your programming manual for the device to know if Labview can run a program to accomplish this task.
